One way of running business is involving family member to participate in operating the business. Most of the Malaysian traditional business is running the business this way. All the family members, begin with the parent participate in running the business. In this modern days, the parent who started the business, currently teach their kid on how to run the business at early age. Some kids start helping their parent running the business at the age of 10 years old !.
By letting their children helping them running the business, even in simple ways, this can create interest in the kids minds thus when they grow up they know how to make and running the business. And most of the time the business is given to them in the future by their parent.
I still remember during my kids times, I also helping my mother sell and distributing "nasi lemak" , a Malay traditional breakfast food ( rice) to coffee shop around the town where I stay in Kota Bharu, Kelantan. My parent will give me some money as a commission and the job that I have done.
Now, my husband and I, once a while, taking part in selling any kind of food where ever we have a chance to do so and , as my parent have trained us, I also trained my kind doing this business. The zest and joy of selling something for me is that, the feeling of happiness that people buy on what we make and the customer satisfied and we as a seller help the customer solving their problem. In my case of cause , filling the empty stomach with a delicious food at the reasonable price. So for those who haven't try in selling something, I think you should try it.
