Blu-ray storage device

Have you heard about blu-ray storage device ?. I'm sure most of us have a lot of CD, DVD and many other storage device to keep our information and computer work. This may be required a lot of space in our drawer. How ever the latest technology of storage device is available in the market today.

It is call blu-ray disc.What is blu-ray ?. Current optical disc technologies such as DVD and many others rely on a red laser to read and write data. However, blu-ray uses a blue-violet laser instead, to write or read the data, that why they call blu-ray.

Even though the different type of lasers used, Blu-ray products can easily be made backwards compatible with CDs and DVDs through the use of a BD/DVD/CD compatible optical pickup unit. The good thing of using a blue-violet laser is that it has a shorter wavelength than a red laser , which makes it possible to focus the laser spot with even greater precision. This allows data to be packed more tightly and stored in less space, so it's possible to fit more data on the disc even though it's the same size as a CD/DVD. This technology will allow Blu-ray Discs to hold up to 25GB or 50GB information just in a single disc !.

Therefore Blu-ray disc will be our best storage in future coming. So next time there will no more DVD, people will talk and ask more BD which means Blu-ray disc.

Blu-ray merupakan teknologi penyimpanan maklumat terkini. Ia dapat menyimpan diantara 25-50 GB, maklumat hanya menggunakan sekeping cakra padat sahaja. Saya menjangkakan pada sedikit masa lagi ramai pengguna akan menggunakan cakera Blu-ray, player dan writer Blu-ray, dan bukan CD ataupun DVD writer.

Blu-ray menggunakan teknologi penulisan maklumat dengan menggunakan cahaya laser biru yang lebih tepat dan jitu. Ini menjadikan lebih banyak maklumat dapat ditulis pada sekeping CD berbanding sekarang ini yang menggunakan cahaya laser merah.
