
Dodol is one of the malay popular traditional food. Dodol is made from coconut milk, sugar or some people using glucose syrup and a lot of glutinous rice. During the early days, dodol is cook in a cooker than being stirr manually, until it become sticky and elastic paste. It took almost 3 -4 hours to cook dodol until it set to desire sticky paste. Firewood were used as source of heating element.
Now a days, dodol is cook using machine as seen in the picture, and using gas as it's burner. With these machine dodol will cook faster without reducing and of it's quality. Dodol then packed in various type packaging. The most popular now a days is in cone shape. This cone shape packaging is done manually by hand or handmade packaging. Until now a day nobody has come out with effective machine to pack dodol in cone shape.
You can buy dodol at any supermarket in my country. Dodol also comes with various flavour such as durian, coffee, Milo, strawberry, pumpkins, maize, beside the original flavour. Some natural colors will be added to dodol to give a nice look there for will attract more consumers to buy the products.
I heard that some dodol products have been exported to middle east, Australia, UK and also US. Consumer buy dodol during festive season such as hari raya, which is celebrated 2 a year in Malaysia. I will up load the You Tube , how people cone pack dodol.
Dodol merupakan makanan popular dinegara kita. Dodol dibuat daripada beras pulut, santan dan juga gula melaka atau pun sirap glukosa. Pada awalnya dodol dikacau didalam kawah secara manul, tapi sekarang terdapat mesin dodol automatik yang dapat mempercepatkan proses pengeluaran dodol. Gula melaka adalah seperti gambar ini dan di import daripada Indonesia. Saya ada dengar bahawa sehagian kecil gula melaka yang dijual dinegara ini adalah gula melaka import ini, dimasak semula dan dicampur dengan gula pasir biasa dan dijual sebagai gula melaka. Gula pasir berapa sekilo ? dan Gula Melaka belapa sekilo bang....gua banyak untung ooooooooooiiiiiii.
